The International Lake Constance Conference (IBK) organises, coordinates and promotes cross-border cooperation between the countries and cantons in the Lake Constance region as a political umbrella and driving force

The IBK is committed to the development of the Lake Constance region as a model region for cross-border co-operation in the areas of politics, administration, business, science, education, mobility, culture, health, youth, environment and tourism. It supports the further development of co-operation at all levels. The 10 IBK members are: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria (D), Vorarlberg (A), St.Gallen, Thurgau, Schaffhausen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Zurich (CH) and Liechtenstein (FL). The IBK also represents the concerns of the Lake Constance region externally, for example towards the nation states or the EU.
